Most of these photographs are of Churches or church related items, however there are also views and War memorials etc. The list below is arranged in parishes. A list of places and their parishes is supplied so that you can locate the relevant parish. These photographs are copyright, and copying them is illegal without permission of the copyright owner: please see the conditions of use.
The early photographs taken by me (Colin Hinson) were taken with a Sanyo VPC-X300E digital camera in 640x480 mode and then reduced to 480 by 320 pixels with PSP (Paint Shop Pro). This camera has a wide angle lens which tends to cause verticals at the sides of the picture to lean in to the centre, but has the advantage that I can usually get most of the Church in the picture without problems with trees etc. The camera takes wonderful pictures in the sunshine, but leaves something to be desired on dull days. These latter pictures need considerable processing with PSP to produce a presentable picture (of course the sun never shines when you want to take a photo <g>).
The later photographs were taken with an Olympus C3040. This camera operates very well under nearly any conditions and is extremely good for taking photos inside churches with no lighting.
